While all of the active ingredients in the spheres has been natural and biofriendly, pond owners always had to physically remove the old spheres and ideally these would be placed in a plastic recycling program.
Now, you can avoid the mess and the inconvenience with the Biodegradable Aquasphere Pro! This product uses technology created by one of the leaders in bio-type products called Mirel. They use a corn based formula to create this new sphere, which will not need to be removed each month. Over time they will simply dissolve harmlessly in the pond. Internally the product has the same great formula that's worked so well for pond owners all over the U.S. and abroad. And if you compost materials for your garden and decide to remove the sphere each month, you'll be happy to know that this product is completely compostable! No enviromental waste will be created whatsoever.
Our New Biodegradable Aquasphere now comes in two sizes. The 1/4 acre aquasphere will treat ponds up to 250,000 gallons or those that are around 1/4 acre or smaller. The 1/2 acre aquasphere will treat ponds up to 500,000 gallons, or those that are approximately 1/2 acre in size or smaller.
These two convenient sizes makes it much more affordable to treat a midsize pond. So this biodegradable aquasphere has become a very popular product in the Healthy Ponds line in a very short amount of time!
