Nothing compliments a backyard pond and your own private oasis any more than an array of bird feeders. We were given several of them a few years ago at Christmas time and haven't looked back since.
We learned a few things back then.
One thing was that we had a huge variety of birds in our backyard and it was great family fun to identify them and keep track of our sightings in a notebook.
