Atlantic Water Gardens Introduces the Triton Pond Water Ionization System.

Pond ionization works by running a very small electrical current through a copper probe (anode) which is placed within the water flow stream. Copper ions (microscopic particles of copper), silver, and zinc are released into the water and copper, in particular, helps to control pond algae.

The control panel features buttons to increase or decrease the amount of copper released. This system allows for a non-chemical approach to ponds, pondless waterfalls, and fountains.

*In regards to safety for fish ponds, it's important to insure that the pond's pH and alkalinity levels are within the ranges specificed in the user's manual. The pH range should be stable between 7.2 to 7.8 and alkalinity leves should range between 80 to 180 ppm. Copper concentration levels should not exceed 0.25ppm. We suggest very careful consideration be given to using this device in fish ponds. It's important that the water chemistry be stable to avoid complications with fish. The pond owner assumes all risks of use with the Triton Pond Ionizer.
