Phosclear - Buffered Aluminum Sulphate Treatment

Phosclear or buffered aluminum sulphate is designed to help improve the water clarity of any size of pond. The product is targeted to bind to suspend materials in the the water such as organic sedimentation or dirt. Once these are bound to, they are pulled to the bottom of the pond and can then be assimilated naturally. It is also designed to help reduce high phosphate levels in a pond.

Phosclear is safe for fish and aquatic wildlife when used as directed. It's best to check the pH of your pond before application. Phosclear will work in ponds with a pH from 6.5 to 8.2. it is not recommended to use Phosclear in ponds where the pH is above 8.2 due to increased risk to fish health.

The recommended dosage rate is 0.25 lbs (1/2 cup) per 1000 gallons of water.

The product is simply sprinkled into the pond, and ideally this should be done in an area with adequate circulation in order to disperse the treatment thoughout the pond.

On application, the water will turn a milky white but within one to two hours the water should begin to clear and within 24 hours, the improvement in water clarity should be significant.
